Themarox® is the registered trademark of Shimanishi Kaken Co., Ltd., a unique liquid extract derived from vermiculite, a mineral known for its substantial mineral salt content of about 25 percent. Originating in Japan, this product has evolved from extensive studies in the 20th century focused on inorganic positive ion exchange in argillaceous minerals, particularly vermiculite, a type of mica rich in mineral oxides like Ca, Si, Al, and Fe. Biotite mica, a variant of volcanic rock, has been identified as particularly potent, containing over 30 different minerals. When introduced to water, Themarox® demonstrates remarkable oxidation capabilities, making it an indispensable raw material in manufacturing various finished products for water treatment, agriculture, and aquaculture.
